Tina Scepanovic is a Chinese American artist with a knack for blending old and new. With a background in furniture restoration, she seamlessly blends historical decorative finishes and repurposed vintage components into her sculptures and installations. She is deeply committed to preserving traditional techniques, some of which date back to the Renaissance, by presenting them through the lens of contemporary design.
While primarily self-taught, Scepanovic received training in historical hand painted finishes from the esteemed Isabel O’Neil Studio in New York City. Additionally, she has studied the art of traditional water gilding under the guidance of world-renowned gilder Charles Douglas. Her work has been exhibited at Salon Art + Design, featured in the New York Times, and placed in private collections around the world.
